Abstract
Based on one-dimensional, unsteady flow and
non-uniform sediment mathematical model, through analyzing the change of the
deposition developing process and deposition amount that is caused by the
change of reservoir operation regulation, a conclusion is made that the
reasonable change of the duration of flood control water level and the definite
range change of normal water level will change the deposition developing
process of reservoir, but these will not change the final silt-stable state.
The holistic change of flood control water level will not only change the
deposition developing process but also change the silt-stable state. The flood
control water level is very pivotal to the silt-stable in the Three Gorges Reservoir, once the change of
the duration of flood water control level goes beyond the “degree”, the
silt-stable state will also change. This has an important meaning to constitute
the operation regulation.
