Abstract

In the process of using the river Volga for transport and energy purposes in the 20-th century locks were built on it. The division of the river by eight hydro engineering complexes into pools radically changed the river’s hydrological regime. In the course of yearlong maintenance of the tandem reservoir system it was made clear that it was necessary to carry out corrections on the previously made design solutions.
