Abstract

The variation reasons and its influence factors of the lower Yellow River (LYR) have been analyzed, so has the characteristics of the typical water environment variation caused by human activities and the natural influence factors. The concept of environmental variation has been proposed in analyzing the processes of environmental change, and the types of water environment variation have been defined according to the characteristics of different reaches and human activities, further more, the reparation methods for the environment variation in the lower Yellow River have been stated as well.
