Abstract
Tidal current data of two tidal periods at 30 tidal current surveying
sites in Jiangsu radial sand ridge sea area are analysed
respectively using the G·Godin`s tidal current
computer programs revised by Foreman. Tidal current in the tidal channels
belong to normal semidiurnal tidal current, M2 constituent
current dominates in the studied sea area. The direction of tidal current is
along tidal channel by and large. On the basis of analyzing the two tidal
periods successive tidal current and suspended sediment survey results of the
30 survey stations, the sediment carrying capacity formulae of tidal channels
in Jiangsu radial sand ridge sea area are discussed by comparing analyse and fitting study methods. The sediment carrying
capacity formulae which can be applied to each tidal channel then are found. And the sediment carrying capacity formulae which are adaptable to the tidal current
channels are different in some extent. Study indicate that Sediment carrying capacity empiric formulae in U2/h format of the
water course which the No.4~15 station are located in is different from the
tidal current channel which the No.16-24 station are located in. For precision, and each expression in U2/h format are
respectively are given in regress methods.
