Abstract
Present work is
devoted to the river banks local scour investigation. Experimental and theoretical
results are introduced. Two mathematical models for forecasting of bottom
rearrangement of the river in a zone of local deformations are offered – one
for relatively homogeneous small sand particles, another – for no-homogeneous
ground with the accounting of critical conditions for single bottom particle
stability. The role of screw currents is emphasized in the phenomenon of a flow
dumping, in spur-dikes work, and also in formation of local erosion zones. The
adjusted technique of bottom local deformations account was suggested on the
base of the given research. The possible ways of influence on natural river-bed
processes also are examined. The recommend-ations are
given for spur-dikes designing.
