Abstract
The Weihe
River is the largest tributary of the
Yellow River,
the insufficient water and excessive sediment result in
the tremendous deposition in the Lower
Weihe River, How to alleviate the sedimentation in the
lower Weihe River becomes one of the most important issues in
managing the Weihe
River. This paper is
firstly to give a brief introduction to the mathematic model in the Lower Weihe River
which established by the authors and its calibration and verification. Then its
applications in study on the change of
sedimentation caused by different of runoff and sediment load in the Lower Weihe River
are illustrated. The result shows, controlling the interval water use and
sediment supply are the most effective way to mitigate the sedimentation of the
lower Weihe
River.
