Abstract

Characteristic of Water and sediment in the lower Weihe River has been analyzed. Distribution of erosion and deposition in different period, different reach, flood plain and main channel has been discussed. Correlation analysis with water and sediment condition and bank-full discharge shows that the main reason for the main channel shrinking are the amount of water reducing vastly, the peak discharge lowering and the small flood with higher sediment concentration occurring frequently in the lower Weihe River.
