Abstract
The flat V-weir is
a useful flow-measuring tool to get a quantitative relationship between forest
change and discharge variation of river which could help to make out the
accurate situation of water balance in catchment
scale. It is powerful in flow-measuring with high precision and has been widely
used in forest hydrology research. The application and detail design of the flat
V-weir has been discussed in this paper which takes the Xiangshuixi
forest catchment as a case study. The principles of
site selection and design of flat V-weir have been put forward in this paper. Finally
the specific size of the flat V-weir has been described in details.
