Abstract
It is quite
important of flood forecasting all long. However, in the Yellow
River which is famous for soil and water loss and
hyper-concentration flow, sediment, accompanied with flood, has as important
position as that of water flow itself. To discuss the way of forecasting water
and sediment discharge, there are 3 steps in this paper to explain this issue. Firstly, the
mechanics of water and sediment processes is analyzed. And then, according to
the analysis of mechanism, simulation models corresponding to the sub-processes
are set up on the digital watershed platform. Finally, the application of water
and sediment forecast in the middle and lower Yellow River
is achieved.
