Abstract
In aria and
semi-aria in spite of low annual precipitation short time storms is one of the
climatic characteristics which cause the flood damages. Floods
not only erode the soil and carries the fertile soil into the dam's
reservoir but also damages infrastructures, such as roods, Villages and cities.
On the other hand, the role of watershed management practices in order to
reduction soil erosion and ran off, soil moisture conservation, sediment yield
control and water supply are important, so it should be evaluation the
effectiveness of such practices. Watersheds are viewed the main sources of
generation water and energy (hydroelectric), and various agricultural and domestic
products. They should be operated, such as any resembled system, with a
comprehensive and coordinated planning and management. They are identified as
the only way to meet problems such as flood, erosion, sediment, decrease in underground water sources, jungles (forest) and
pastures destruction and decrease in dry farmlands return. The study area is Anbaran watershed in Ardebil
province that instruction in order to control flood and soil conservation in
this work the effectiveness of management mechanical and biological practices
on the sediment yield evaluated and compared after and before construction of
soil conservation practices by MPSIAC.
