Abstract
Two sets of flume
experiments are discussed. The influence of bed load presented by different
hardness and different density sediment artificial and natural particles on the
erosivity of shallow flow was studied. The second set
of experiments devoted to investigation of suspended sediment influence on soil
erodibility. The experiments show that sediment
particles moved as bed load significantly decreases shallow flow erosivity if its hardness is lower or the same as the
eroded flow bed. Decrease of erosivity depends to no
small degree on the density of sediment particles. The small amount suspended
silt and clay particles decrease soil erodibility
heavily due to consolidation surface soil layer.
