  SOCIAL EVENTS  

The following social events will be organized for all participants and their registered accompanying persons. Additional tickets can be purchased at the registration desk.

  • Open-air Reception

 Oct. 18 (Mon.) 18:30 – 21:30: All symposium participants and registered accompanying persons are invited to the reception which will be held on the lawn behind the Nayunlou Bld. The reception will be moved to the 2nd floor of Nayunlou Bld. if weather condition is not suitable.

Additional tickets (US$20/per. or RMB 160/per.) for the open-air reception can be purchased at the registration desk.
  • Cultural Evening

 Oct. 19 (Tue.) 19:00 – 21:00: A cultural recreational evening party is held on the lawn behind the Nayunlou Bld. Participants will enjoy the participational Tujia Minority shows.

  • Farewell Banquet

Oct. 21 (Thu.) 19:00 – 20:30: The Symposium farewell banquet will be organized for all participants and their accompanying persons in the dining hall in the 2nd floor of Nayunlou Bld.

 Additional tickets (US$30/per. or RMB240/per.) can be purchased at the registration desk.

  ACCOMPANYING PERSONS PROGRAMS

All registered accompanying persons are invited to join the following programs.

Oct. 18 (Mon.)

 Morning:         Opening ceremony

AP1  Afternoon:     Visit Sanyou Park, Chinese Sturgeon Research Institute. Attendees are gathered in the lobby of Nayunlou Bld. and set out at 14:30.

 Additional tickets (US$10/per. or RMB80/per.) can be purchased at the registration desk.

Oct. 19 (Tue.)

AP2  Whole Day:   Leave for Qingjiang River by bus  in the morning, sightseeing and visit Baidao Hu (hundred islets lake) on boat. Attendees are gathered in the lobby of Nayunlou Bld. and set out at 8:30

 Additional tickets (US$40/per. or RMB320/per.) can be purchased at the registration desk.

Oct. 20 (Wed.)

Technical Tour

Additional tickets (US$40/per. or RMB320/per.) can be purchased at the registration desk.

Oct. 21 (Thu.)

AP3  Morning:  Visit Yiling Square, National Trade Building and shopping. Attendees are gathered in the lobby of Nayunlou Bld. and set out at 8:30

 Additional tickets (US$10/per. or RMB80/per.) can be purchased at the registration desk.

  POST-SYMPOSIUM TOURS  

Four routes for post-symposium tours are planned. Any tour with less than six registrants will be cancelled automatically. The cost of each tour will include meals, accommodations, transportation and entrance tickets to visit sites for the tour duration.

A.     Yichang – Three Gorges – Shennongjia – Wuhan (4 days)

21 Oct. (Thu.)

After Banquet, get on boat and cruise upstream, overnight on boat

22 Oct. (Fri.)

Morning visit Shennong Stream by small boat. Afternoon visit Baidicheng (Historic site during the period of Three King States) and downstream sightseeing of the Qutangxia, Wuxia and Xilingxia (Three Gorges) on the boat. Overnight on boat.

23 Oct. (Sat.)

Visit Sengnongjia Natural Reserve in Mt. Shennongjia by bus (300km), overnight on boat or in the Three Gorges Hotel.

24 Oct. (Sun)

After breakfast leave for Wuhan City by bus (300km) and visit Yellow Crane Tower and Provincial Museum. Overnight in Wuhan.

25 Oct. (Mon.) 

Tour ends after breakfast.

Cost: US$450/per. Single occupancy supplement: US$ 180/per on boat, US$35/per. in the Hotel.

 

B.     Yichang – Xi’an –Sanmenxia – Luoyang – Zhengzhou (6 days)

 22 Oct. (Fri.)

Morning, leave Yichang for Xi’an by flight.  Afternoon, visit the History Museum of China, overnight in Xi’an.

23 Oct. (Sat.)

Visit the Terracotta Warrior figures and bronze chariots and Banpo Village Museum, Ancient City Wall and Big Wild Goose Pagoda, etc. Overnight in Xi’an.

24 Oct. (Sun)

Visit “Forest Stelae”, a collection of 1,095 stone tables on which ancient texts were etched. Leave for Sanmenxia city by train. Afternoon, visit Sanmenxia Hydroproject on the Yellow River and leave for Luoyang City by bus. Overnight in Luoyang city.

25 Oct. (Mon.) 

Visit Longmen Grottoes, White Horse Temple and Xiaolangdi Hydroproject on the Yellow River. Overnight in Luoyang city.

26 Oct. (Tue.) 

Visit Shaolin Temple and leave for Zhengzhou City. Overnight in Zhengzhou.

27 Oct. (Wed.) 

Tour ends after breakfast.

 Cost: US$550/per. Single occupancy supplement: US$ 175/per.

 

C. Yichang –Lanzhou –Dunhuang – Turpan – Urumqi (7 days)

22 Oct. (Fri.)

Leave for Wuhan by bus for taking flight to Lanzhou. After arrival in Lanzhou, visit Liujiaxia Hydroproject on the Yellow River. Overnight in Lanzhou.

23 Oct. (Sat.)

Leave for Dunhuang by flight. Visit the New-Moon Spring. Overnight in Dunhuang town.

24 Oct. (Sun)

Visit Mogao Grottoes. Departure for Turpan by overnight train.

25 Oct. (Mon.) 

Arrival in Turpan in the morning. Visit Jiaohe Old city (ruins between two rivers) and some historic attractions. Overnight in Turpan.

26 Oct. (Tue.)

Visit ancient irrigation canal, flaming mountain, etc. Leave for Urumqi.  Overnight in Urumqi.

27 Oct. (Wed.)

Visit Tian Chi lake at the top of the Mountain. Overnight in Urumqi.

28 Oct. (Thu.)

Tour ends after breakfast.

Cost: US$980/per. Single occupancy supplement: US$ 210/per.

 

D. Yichang – Xi’an – Beijing (4 days)

22 Oct. (Fri.)

Departure for Wuhan by bus for taking flight to Xi’an. Visit the History Museum of China, overnight in Xi’an.

23 Oct. (Sat.)

24 Oct. (Sun)

Leave Xi’an for Beijing in the morning by flight. Visit the Temple Heaven in the afternoon. Overnight in Beijing.

Visit Forbidden City and Badaling the Great Wall. Overnight in Beijing.

26 Oct. (Tue.)

Tour ends after breakfast.
